The Governance Desk is an independent governance architecture platform published by the Institute for Cross-Domain Governance.
It exists because enterprise governance is rarely examined as a connected system. Most governance conversations happen inside individual disciplines. Data governance has its frameworks. Security governance has its standards. Compliance has its requirements. Each domain develops its own vocabulary, reporting structures, and definition of what good looks like.
Over time, the enterprise perspective gets lost. Risk does not follow governance boundaries. It forms where systems, data, processes, and decisions intersect, and it moves across domains that were never designed to interact.
The Governance Desk examines governance from the architectural level. The focus is on how governance domains interact, where oversight breaks down between domains, and how enterprise risk actually takes shape across systems and decisions.
The Governance Desk is written for Chief Data Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, Chief Audit Executives, Chief Risk Officers, and governance leaders at large, regulated enterprises who have governance programs but not enterprise risk visibility.
